This is the beginning of your new life, just as it is for Bella Swan. Everyone who comes to this small, dreary town has to see the same sign, and realize how small 3,120 really is compared to the countless number of trees in the forest that engulfs the Olympic Peninsula. But what happens in Forks isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, nope. It’s just like everywhere else in the world; it has drama, mystery, cliques, rivalries, and hardships.

Beep. Beep. Beep. "Good morning La Push! I'm DJ Dizzy Dingo, and you're listening to 96.2 KTFM radio. Our next song in the mix is A Milli by Lil' Wayne,"blared a loud voice. The source of the sound came from a small, black radio clock that sat on a tan dresser. Nearby in the room, a lump moved angrily in covers. It's occupant cover his ears with large hands, and a groan came from deep beaneath the covers. It was about 7:00 am, and almost time for school for the students of La Push High School. As Lil' Wayne rapped loudly on the radio, the sleepy boy, known as Jaylen, rolled reluctantly out of bed. It was time for another day of required education.
Jaylen shuffled towards his light, eyes closed and flicked on the light. Yet another groan came from the teen. Jaylen shuffled over towards his closet and opened the door. Recklessly picking out matching South Pole clothes, Jaylen ambled towards the bathroom. After a shower with a duration of fifteen mintues, the adolescent was finally almost ready for school. Jaylen turned off his lights, radio, and grabbed a small bag of beef jerky. Running a quick hand through his short cropped hair, the young male grabbed his keys off the kitchen counter and began to walk towards his car. After unlocking the door and getting situated, Jaylen revved the engine of his Mustang. The car was a shiny apple green and had dark black racing stripes. The Mustang purred down the street, weaving easily through what little traffic there was in the morning.
Jaylen's radio in his car was booming loud, due to the subwoofers in the back. The song had long since changed in the transition from the house to the car, but Jaylen beat his hands on the steering wheel as he came to a red light. The clock now read 7:15. He had 15 minutes before school started. When the light turned green again, the car raced to a start. People in the car next to Jaylen's watched as he drove away. The werewolf drove about fifty miles, but the speed limit was thirty five. Somehow, he was fortunate enough not to get caught this morning. Aside from that fact, he could charm his way out of any ticket. Jaylen made it to school with 5 minutes to spare. He grabbed his jerky, and ambled off through the school doors.
Inside, the school was warm and clean. The janitors did a respectable job keeping the building clean. A flood of people came into hall suddenly as Jaylen made his way to his locker. He grabbed his black Adidas string-strap bag and walked to class. Luckily his first class wasn't too far off. The seventeen year old sat in his seat just as the bell rang. "Here we go again," Jaylen said with a smirk. Mrs. Kinlor began to talk about english very shortly after. Her words were very uninteresting and bored most of the tired class. She spoke of adjectives, nouns, and the usual grammar stuff.
How exciting.
Jaylen's attention wasn't held for long because a girl diagonal had caught his attention. A sort of goofball look crossed Jaylen's features. The girl ahead of him was named Sam. Absently getting a small piece of paper, the werewolf it crumpled up between his paw-like hands. And soon enough, it hit Sam in the head. When she looked back, Jay gave her a coy smile and waved manically at her. Sam rolled her eyes and waved back. The rest of Jay's classes dragged on like this until lunch, where he met up with his friends Trae, Seth, and Derek. He hoped that something exciting would happen, or this year might take forever and a few years off Jaylen's lifespan, though the Werewolf had a few to spare.
